Are Online Concealed Carry Permits Legit?
Yes – online concealed carry permits are legit as long as you keep in mind where they are (and aren’t valid).
Before you get an online CCW, please make sure that it will be legal for your intended purpose and also that you get the training from a reputable source. We’ll cover both of these.
Who are online concealed carry permits for?
Online concealed carry permits are NOT for brand new shooters who will not get more training. Yes, you can take an online course for the basics but you MUST get more training.
Online CCW courses are great for those that are looking for the easiest way to satisfy the training requirements of a CCW application. They are also useful to get training that works in other states without having to travel.

Virginia Online Concealed Carry Permit
You can get this as a resident of any US state until the end of the year because Virginia is closing the loophole.
It works when TRAVELING to over half of the country. It may not work in the state you reside in even if it is listed as one of the states that recognizes the Virginia CCW. This is because many states allow visitors to their state to use the Virginia CCW but they require residents to have their own in-state CCW.
I offer online training for the Virginia CCW at RocketCCW.com and it has been a nice side business but I’ve decided that I’d rather provide it for free.
The course has always been the bare-bones minimum required as the fastest method to get qualified for your CCW but I’ve never been proud of charging money for such a basic product. And, especially since the loophole is closing at the end of the year, I want as many people to take advantage of it as possible. So, I’m fixing that today and switching the course to “free” and I’ll be migrating it over to Gun University.
